Official 2011-12 NBA LOCKED IN Thread

Jesus christ you have to be kidding me.

They looked really good with CJ Watson running the point. Their strength is still defense and rebounding. I still see a deep run for the Bulls. A lot of 70-60 games, though.

cmon, you're just trying to pump them up so that it will be seen as a legit win when you guys face them.

Don't project. That's not what I'm doing at all. I just wouldn't be shocked if they reached the ECF without Rose.

mcwop, here's how my day went.

- dvr'd the game
- was into the 2nd quarter as the game was actually ending, things were looking great for me, not knowing what happened
- something fucked up w/ the dvr, couldn't watch any more of the game, got really pissed
- saw my phone had a "bye bye playoffs" text
- was like "wha??" got pissed that i knew anything about the end because of my dvring (even though the dvr fucked up) and exchanged some texts
- went to live tv and saw what happened
- watching post game, got more pissed
- watched lebron flopping around like the enormous cunt he is, got pissed and annoyed
- had a couple people from work absolutely crank me up into 8 alarm super enraged mode

had to tell the wife i had to leave the house to go buy smokes and beer because i just couldnt take it anymore

so, here we are

I love Deng and Noah too much not to watch the rest of their run. Going to be grinding my teeth the whole way.

I hope Thibs doesn't become the scapegoat. Injuries happen, and it wasn't ridiculous for him to be out there. It wasn't a blowout.

maybe the blame should be on the bulls medical staff.
They have done rose bad for some time now.

This sucks, the bulls were the only team I could see defeating the spurs this year. now people are going to try and put asterisks on this year.

Hmm.

"The Bulls medical staff is responsible for Rose suffering an injury to a knee he's never hurt before -> This sucks for the Spurs! This championship is going to be too easy now!"

Is there word on the severity of the tear yet? If it's only a partial tear like Rubio's, he still could be back in time for opening day.

based on who their second round match-up is, I would not be surprised if the Bulls still get to the ECF
Derrick didn't have much to do with them getting to where they are this season

yeah, I still have some faith in them but it's greatly diminished
now their success hinges on shit like "is Carlos Boozer going to show up tonight?"

you could find a way to asterisk every season if you just base it on injuries. the only legit ones I see here are 2012, 2006, and 99. This year the asterisk won't be because of Rose, but because it wasn't a true 82 game season a la '99.
