as a semi-wiz follower living in the dc area now, i think it was a great move by the wiz to oust them. nene is an addition i like, and soon they'll have a lot of cap room.

with wall, seraphin, nene, they have a good start.

I don't understand why teams take dudes like Enes Kanter and Jan Vesely so early in the draft.

Like, how do Faried and Lawson go early 20s?

The NBA is so weird.

the amount of scrubs taken before rondo, and the fact that the suns literally sold us rondo for $1m, always amuses me

scouts are clueless

i don't remember which analyst said it, but someone said 'vesely is pretty good at running and jumping, i just don't know if he's any good at basketball' which i think is pretty accurate. he has a weird skillset

christ that reminds me of simmons' what if column from like 4 years ago

Just for the hell of it, let's give them Igoudala in that '04 draft because he's better than Deng, and they might have taken him anyway. And let's say they don't make the Shaq/Marion trade because they wouldn't have needed to dump Marcus Banks in the deal (they wouldn't have signed him if they had Rondo for one-fourth the price), and besides, they already have Kurt Thomas. Here's your 2008 Suns roster right now: Nash, Barbosa and Rondo as the guards; Igoudala, Hill and Bell at the swing spots; and Stoudemire, Marion, Diaw and Thomas up front ... as well as the rights to their No. 1 and Atlanta's No. 1 in this year's draft.

I was pretty surprised when kenneth faried fell as far as he did. Isn't it common knowledge that rebounding is one of the few things that usually translates to the NBA level?

I was wearing a Far Side t-shirt when he came over. "I bet you didn't think I was the sort of person who wore t-shirts," I told him. (Our school had a dress code.) "I have three."

I could see how e-mailing the wrong person about sexy bathtime could be embarrassing.

You realize that a lot of NBA teams still don't have any concepts of advanced basketball statistics? As crazy as that sounds, its completely true.

My two picks in the draft last year, outside of the top 5 were Shump and Faried.

That was a good call on Shumpert. I never thought he would be this effective.

I was pretty high on Isaiah Thomas going into that draft but thats mainly because I'm a Washington homer and watched every college game he played, just like I'm pretty high on Terrence Ross this year (and Tony Wroten might end up being a real steal if he ends up in the right situation).

Just look at that list of NBA players that turned into Rondo.

How have we not talked about this Boozer quote

"I thought I played well, especially with the kind of season it was," Boozer said, when asked to assess his second season in Chicago. "We had the best record again in basketball, won our division again, had the top seed again, that's all that matters, yo."

I had to click on the link because I thought you added the "That's all that matters, yo" part. Good lord, Boozer. The Bulls literally have no other option but to get rid of him this offseason, huh?

has anyone checked on Derrick Rose today? his head may have exploded after reading that quote
I really hope they at least think about using the amnesty clause on him, maybe if an OJ Mayo s+t (or another scoring SG) is a good possibility they will
