emo/mall punk stuff is still mainstream pop music and the reason why hipinion doesn't like 30 seconds to mars but will like a rihanna song is because 30 seconds to mars never gives you a chance to enjoy whatever hooks they wrote because you can't swallow this ridiculous fucking thing they're trying to sell you while rihanna is an r&b singer that is at the very least an r&b singer.
