wasn't there a part on last week's preview where pete was telling someone they couldn't be there at the office (impied to be the gilmore girl, i guess)? was that even in the episode tonight?

i missed a couple of minutes after two different commercial breaks, but i thought i got back in place quickly enough not to miss an entire scene
