Breaking Bad S5E8 [FINALE] (Links in 1st post)

Jesus christ you have to be kidding me.

Postby someguy » Mon Jul 23, 2012 4:14 am

This episode felt more on form than the premiere. Part of why last season sagged in the middle was because it played its hand too early, the flash forward in the premiere and Walt setting up a new drug empire feels like they're going back to what they did in season 2 rather than seasons 3/4.

Great ep.

Only thing that made me go oof was the lieutenant explaining the moral of his Fring anecdote while the camera lingered on Hank. The bit about the snapper and foil tents had already conveyed the intent of that scene without Gilligan needing to hammer it home.
that's the stuff.

Yeah, very solid epi. Mike is that dude. Also, seeing Jesse cry like that sort of wreckt me. Thought it should've ended with that shot of Walt just before he jumped into bed with she who shall not be named, though. Gonna see Emily Mortimer be adorable now.

yeah, i was fine with the creepy ending but i thought closing the episode with the kitchen scene would have been better

Seeing him console Jesse was one of the few times I can remember hating Walt.

see i liked the ending with skyler because it just reinforced walt's "breaking bad" continuation

also did walt have anything to do with mike's shit? i got the weird feeling that he was expecting that phone call from mike, but maybe hes so nuts/self-involved/awesome that he just assumed that call would come

fuccccccin love this show

fantastic episode. much sharper and better observed than the premiere, as well as just having overall style.

i like how they're handling madrigal a lot so far.

and i'm liking these endings on walt's domestic life before bed, convincing himself that he's not a monster.

thoroughly creeped out when just when you think walt is going to stop sinisterly kissing Skylar and roll over to his side of the bed he actually moves to take off his tighty whiteys and scoots in even closer.

Fantastic episode. Jesse's "I don't know what's wrong with me, Mr. White" scene was incredible, and Walt's hands on his shoulders were just so sinister.

Then the "are you ready?" thing was played perfectly. Mike is so great.

There was a Walt rape scene in season 1
an indefensible position, unimaginatively expressed
