I dunno--I enjoyed Wig Out. It seemed to be on par with Mirror Traffic. Real Emotional Trash is my least favorite.

But, yeah, Matador is doing a good job not letting me hear this song. Maybe I'll just wait for the album. I haven't seen Malkmus since his first solo album, so I'm thinking of buying tix for Brooklyn day 2.

Real Emotional Trash is up there with some of the better Pavement records or, at the very least, better than the last two.

Finally got a chance to listen to this, very Stephen Malkmus-y track. It was nice but I was looking for something to really grab me. I'm starting to feel like he's lost the drive after Real Emotional Trash. Mirror Traffic was decent but not urgent (to use a lame word) and Wig Out At Jagbags felt like a bunch of short ideas... I dunno

I feel like Malkmus could write a decent song like this a week forever

Real Emotional Trash is a great 'un, but I think the run of Pig Lib - > Real Emotional Trash is competing with Pavement, or better even for certain moods

the 1-2 of Rattler and Shiggy really scratches the perfect Malkmus itch for me.

I’m pleasantly surprised at how concise, consistent, and catchy this is. Definitely doesn’t feel like he just threw some songs out there like the last couple have felt to me.
