Had the whole park to the four of us and one scooter last night. My legs were pretty dead after a long bike ride in the morning but it was fun. New wheels on that wood were slippery and I ate shit first run just doing a manny on the flat of a fun box

Blayk I like your edit, that first bank looks fun. If you do up the vid can you pm me the latest pw, I can't find it in my email

gave tony hawk's older sister a ride to the airport. she told me all about her days as a back up singer in r n b bands. she now runs his clothing line and was heading to amsterdam for a fashion show. kids no longer want to wear clothing w/ logos, to her lament (they'd rather buy thrift store garbage), so the hawk clothing empire is waning

excited for my skate season! hey are there any decent completes out there for urban riding around and over cracks and gravel while still being snappy enough for the spare flip trick over manhole covers? or should i put something together myself? i need reccs for trucks bearings and wheels

You just want softer, bigger wheels. They roll like a dream over everything, but theyll get knicked up pretty fast, and will stick to the ledge if you try and do a nose slide or whatever.

Also, since they're sticky, you might want to get a riser pad if to decide to go with bigger wheels. Nothing cramps a flowy turn like wheel bite bringing you to a dead stop.

OJ wheels make cool soft wheels

trucks don't matter too much as long as you get the right size trucks for your deck
i ride krux trucks and think they're great.
but also thunder, independent, thunder, venture

i like bones reds bearings for the price point. they spin well for a long time.
also bronson bearings.

skatewarehouse has a build your own complete feature. i can't vouch for any of the completes they already have made for you, however.
https://www.skatewarehouse.com/buildcomplete.html

i recommend a wider deck +wider trucks +bigger, soft OJ wheels so you can be like Nick Boserio in that video

Santa Cruz is kinda a go-to for wide decks in the old school, 80s style shapes.

just fyi i think flipping the board over manholes is out for the next few months. steezy full speed impossibles are in.

on my cruiser i have ace trucks and oj keyframe wheels, i would absolutely recommend that setup, aces turn like a dream and the oj keyframe wheels are soft but not super soft, pretty grippy and roll fast/smooth on shitty surfaces, they also come in smaller/more flippable sizes like 52-56mm, i have 54mm keyframe wheels on my board, they're great
for bearings i would recommend just going for bones swiss, more $$ but they stay fast and last a long time. bones reds are ok for a cheap bearing but i think they blow out quickly (in my experience).

was skating last night behind the library with a friend and two random people showed up. we had a nice session, the four of us. neither of them were very talkative. i like that four people can enjoy skating together and each other's company without having to say much.

a lady brought out her kids to watch us, and i let them both try to ride on the board. they were sooo stoked. i hope mom gets them boards. wish i had had some tiny kid completes in my trunk to hand out.
