Not making a poll because I won’t pretend to know every Elton John song but what are your contenders? In high school I was obsessed with crocodile rock but I love rocket man and I just can’t wait to be king. Would love to learn some more Elton John tracks

one time in high school I didn’t believe my friend when he told me “Someone Saved My Life Tonight” was about Elton John contemplating suicide by sticking his head in an oven because it was the same friend who had previously tried to get me to believe that “Rainbow Connection” was about the AIDS epidemic and that humans can’t see the color orange in space (both of which make exactly zero sense)

it’s probably one of the five obvious ones but they’re all so overplayed that it’s hard for me to truly assess them so i’m just gonna say roy rogers. but it’s probably crocodile rock or saturday night’s alright for fighting or something
