Fantastic Planet was the first one that came to mind Criterionchannel usually has one or two of these LEAVING every month. The Point was a p good one. I wish I could remember what more of these random movies were called damn might have to go consult the logs Kirikou ones are more modern but real good.

There was another really bonkers Soviet bloc cartoon animated in kind of a similar style except less technically accomplished and more insnane that I've only seen excerpts from but I can't find it again.

Slartisfgh is never mentioned in The Bible, but it is here, during one of the early battles, that Matthew spontaneously became liquid. Radiation trace: negligible

cool world
I look at bluegrass music as this sort of glowing ball. The point is to relax the technique around the glowing ball of feeling.

Not gonzo-weird, more just unusual but beautiful, but I really love 'Red Turtle' and 'I Lost My Body' (both French) and Yuri Norstein's films.VIDEO VIDEO VIDEO I remember as a kid really loving Bill Blympton's "Your Face" and others of his.VIDEO I guess it's not "weird" but it is unusually beautiful, 'L'Illisioniste' (French animation based on an unproduced Tati story):VIDEO
