Which part is getting you? I had a hard time gauging the difficulty as I was making it, but I thought it was probably the least demanding in terms of technical platforming of the courses I have made so far.

It is pretty long though and if you lose the shell in parts you might as well be dead.

took me a good hour. I had to learn all the nuances of the dry shell.
i'm a habitual B-button holder and you grab it rather than land in the shell if you're holding the b button down. That fucked me up for a bit

edit: Y-button i meant (but you guys know what i mean)

I think they are new to this game. I was worried that people wouldn't be familiar enough with them. I wanted to put the controls for all the different mechanics in the description, but the character limit stopped me. I had to settle for "bop, stomp, toss and die" which are all the techniques you need to do with the shell to make it through the level.

Also tried to make like 5 different 3D world levels but there’s too much weird stuff going on and like 50000 more things to use. It’s an overload

I finished my third level! It’s a v2 for a level design idea I used for a level in SMM1. My clear time speedrun was 40 seconds. Hope y’all like it

I’m sorry!

I swear I do try to soften them up a bit and make it so it’s difficult to paint yourself into a full-on trap/retry situation.

This level has night mode and there are some enemies in boxes too so beware. Night SMB3 default is pretty mischievous

this is the best idea for a video game i've ever seen

Can we talk about favorite/least favorite nightime mechanics? I love extra slippery ice and the poison mushroom. I wish the wind blew the opposite direction in sand world to give you extra long jumps like in famicom mario 2. Hate upside down underground and extra dark ghost house can be very cruel.

Cool level. I was able to get a time of 32.377.

I think I also have (or at least had) the WR for your Maze level in SMM1 even these two are still a bit different from each other.
