Say hello to Roll in More-a Shit.

Genuinely moved by David in s4e12, and by Patrick's cup of tea joke.

Fuck, the Patrick coming out to his parents episode had me bawling (as much as the brain pills allow), having had a somewhat similar conversation with my own parents recently.

The funniest joke in this entire show is when David’s atm pin won’t work and the teller asks if he’s sure he used the right one, and he says “of course I’m sure. It’s my birthday!” And then she says “well happy birthday!”

I'm actually sorry because I didn't read the thread before I came in and made my post, I just saw it was the Schitt's Creek thread and decided it was the place to post my opinion that nobody should care about. Dreadful's a strong and stupidly hyperbolic word but aside from Catherine O'Hara (who is always the best) it was perfectly fine and probably gets better, but basically unfunny and definitely not for me. Over and out!

To be honest I thought season one was pretty poor on first watch. Kept watching because I was bored and thank god for that

i thought s1 and 2 were balmy/pleasant enough but it got great after that. i think i’ve said it before itt but mutt being written out plus jocelyn getting a bigger part plus ted and patrick were huge improvements.

latest season has 95 on metacritic. didn't realize it was so warmly received by critics.

new season is good oferall, but too much rolland, not enough jocelyn, not enough johnny and moira together.

This show is dope and balm. Daniel Levy is great and of course Catherin O'Hara is hilarious

For some reason I get real Northern Exposure vibes but then when I try to say why there's not really that much connection

a lot of the greatness of the show, to me, is about being an SCTV-head from way back and the joy of the fact of eugene levy and catherine o'hara having done comedy together for like 40+ years, and how john hemphill and robin duke and other supporting players factor into that family history, and in how eugene levy is def to some extent playing himself as the dopey proud dad he is irl. and yeah daniel levy is a treasure of all time.

I think the upswing happens toward the end of S1 if I remember right. Season 2 premiere is great.
