It's always just like 40 - 50 people in blazers and gowns loitering around a pool or on a deck at night. It's so lame!

i went to a rich people's party for a few years on new year's and as far as i can tell this is what actually happens at them

that and at the end people get drunk and dance to springsteen

correct. although she moves to iowa on a bus with a like a wad of bills and a handbag and she gets into town and starts smiling like an idiot at the Small Town Life. It's hilarious. And yeah she just gets a house right away somehow. And she gets a job as a librarian in the Small Town because the Drama Professor love interest just gets her the job somehow.
