after a few canvassing efforts last year i reluctantly decided to tag out this time around, but i want some skin in the game so i threw a couple bones the way of zephyr, alexandria, and julia. really hope the world, to even the slightest degree, reflects my twitter feed!

Big fan of Zephyr. Just found out the congressman from my hometown district (ny 18) Sean Patrick Maloney is running for AG as well. He was part of the Bill Clinton admin at the end Clintons second term, and came in 3rd in the AG race in 2006. He seems like a decent dem, but I'd prefer Zephyr. The districts lines were re-drawn in the past ten years and it's becoming quite a bit more red. Where dems used to win handily, Obama only won there by about four points and Trump won by about three points. SPM has only won by about five points in his two elections for congress, so I really would prefer he stay in office there

I agree. Not allowing myself to get carried away with optimism, because I know the odds are stacked against her, but what if? What if?

Either way, Alexandria has run an incredible campaign. I'm very excited for the future.

Florida's U.S. Senate race is effectively tied, but the spending just grows more lopsided, $17 million for Rick Scott to roughly $3 million for Bill Nelson.

It's primary day in Maryland, too. We've got:

-Ben Jealous vs. the establishment candidate (Rushern Baker) for Governor

-A DSA-endorsed slate of candidates in Montgomery County to watch all of whom could win, and one of whom is going up against an asshole millionaire ex-Republican.

-CD6: self-funding millionaire vs. the mainstream dem, an Indian-American woman state legislator vs. the super progressive dem, a white male state senator. All sorts of dynamics playing out in that one.

edit: I guess I was slow.
