There being minutes-long video + "story didn't hold up to media scrutiny" is a weird combo.

which?

the story about how he found a file full of stuff on his mom's computer? a video.. shot by whom? and then after the media wouldn't take it up, posted to facebook a few days ahead of the state primary?

it's completely possible that there was bad stuff going on here, but I'm not convinced the details of the story here are all true...

That 2006 story alone is awful and should be disqualifying. The fact that the stuff he's being accused of in the more recent post mostly matches it in type & severity demonstrates a pretty clear pattern of behaviour.

the 2006 story ended up in Tom Emmer's uncle's newsletter. I think all the allegations are plausible but worth scrutinizing in this case

If the previous story was sketchy and couldn't be verified, and now there's a new story with some pretty specific evidentiary claims and no evidence drops to corroborate them, I think it's fair to be skeptical until those drops emerge.

If there really are lots of text exchanges and video footage, then obviously that's damning as all hell, case closed. But if you say you have all that stuff and don't produce it, ???

MN primary is going to be crazy tomorrow. 2018 is the most important statewide election in a long time, and one of the DFL Gov candidates has a scandal coming out that she used AG staffers to work on her campaign. Nightmare scenario would be Swanson/Nolan winning and then more and more info on this coming out leading up to the general

Also, now there's the news about Keith Ellison (where there's four other DFL candidates for AG, hard to see him losing). Also, former Bush admin lawyer Richard Painter running against Tina Smith in the DFL primary, guy seems like a legit weirdo who some people are buying as an actual progressive since he's critical of Trump

yeah having lived in mn for 7 years at one point and still having tons of friends there, i'm paying unusually close attention to those races. there's a weird disconnect since murphy comes in third in polling for the gov nom but as far as i can tell literally everyone i know in the state is voting for her, vocally supporting her on social media, many of them donating/volunteering, etc.

Yeah, exactly. Those polls have a really large margin of error, and I'd assume a three way poll in a primary election in August isn't going to be the most accurate thing in any case. Still, I'm just baffled that she's pulling even soft support. I guess Boomer DFLers who aren't active on social media? The types who thought Franken got a raw deal would be my guess

Kansas starts counting provisionals today in most but not all counties and that could be another 5000 votes in the R primary. Colyer would have to win them by about 2.5% to take a lead
