Yeah. I'm pretty much out on Bernie 2020, and find much of the effusive rhetoric around him and how singular of a candidate he is to be pretty unearned given how tepid his campaign has been so far. Warren is the only candidate I'm excited about and have hope for.

She really been the only candidate worthy of serious consideration. I don’t see how people are still blinded by the Bernie 2016 buzz so much that she’s just being ignored at this point. I find it extremely frustrating how quickly people shut down any kind of conversation by talking about the Native American thing when it seems like that angle is mostly being pushed by the right to serve their anti affirmative action agenda.

warren is definitely my number 2

bernie seems to poll better vs trump, and that’s been consistent since 2016

can you elaborate on this? I'll admit I haven't really followed the horserace at all so far so I don't have my own impressions of this. but it seems so early to judge, especially someone with an enthusiastic base of support like sanders.

and idk to me bernie is clearly the only candidate who is going to place class conflict as a central part of his messaging, and tbh that's the only reason i'm supporting him (I'll ultimately vote for whoever the dem is but I don't think I'd ever donate or volunteer or even try to convince anyone to vote for anyone else). i can't imagine anyone else including warren ever broaching that territory. I could elaborate on why I think his campaign is very much singular but I don't actually have anything interesting to say so I will refrain

I don't really follow, because in many ways he -has- been a singular force in mainstreaming ideas that were considered kooky left stuff before.

I like Warren, I like her policy stuff (it also will not become law but this is how you signal priorities and move the overton window), I think she might lose to Trump, fairly or not

you’re kidding yourself if you think footage of bern looking like a goof with the bandage on his head isn’t going to lose him some potential votes.

Warren confronts class issues but I don't think she frames it as bluntly in the terms of class conflict because, as she says, she is a capitalist. if you listen to a random 1 minute clip of any bernie stump speech it's clear that to him and the people that enthusiastically support him, capitalists and the megarich are the enemy. but yes I agree w others that Warren would be by far my #2 choice and I would happily vote for her

and also yes you are right I'm not really paying attention

I think the cultural mysogyny stuff is hard to ignore. but it seems like the combination of left + woman puts her in more danger than kamala. I mean its just march 2019 but I keep an eye on the favorables of the field and I worry.

does she inspire people? thats the question to me. maybe she will, and she'll win the primary by building a strong support base. or she won't.

Is Beto really a serious candidate? He's served a single term in congress but that's about it

i'm glad that beto is running because i think it's great that trump will be distracted firing things off about all of these people and being an asshole for the next two years basically and it's good to have a deep bench for that. these are all of my political opinions lately.
