I think a lot of people (myself included) thought it was possible that they might just not endorse

I thought AOC probably would decline to endorse anyone because she's a pretty good politician

no way, they were just timing it. they’re young progressives who seem genuinely passionate about issues. not endorsing is a technocratic move, or playing politics, which they never seem to do. it’s sick that they went ahead and vouched for the one candidate with the same style.

It's a benefit to Bernie and to Warren. Squad is very polarizing so again bernie takes all the anti leftist heat off Warren.

the endorsement race has been really quiet. Warren picked up Raskin last month and for some reason Gallego endorsed Harris ??

Post trump I think everyone realized endorsements don't mean much anymore. I remember nasty nate putting a huge amount of weight behind trump's lack of endorsements as a reason he'd never be the nom

I can't really blame any of the home staters. McCollum endorsed Klobs which is kind of lol.

the 2016 republican primary was a bunch of flavors of the week sliding into first, immediately fucking it up, and then dropping, while trump harnessed a small but very loud base with his shithead schtick. he was impervious to any attack on the right because he was shameless and uncouth in a field of boring suits. that's what his base liked about him--they liked that no one would endorse him because of how ugly a person he was.

the 2020 democratic primary is pretty much like any other primary before it and it's why people are taking note of the squad endorsements.

also half of the democratic party is gonna be furious at all three of them for endorsing bernie so the idea that endorsements don't mean much is false on the inside baseball track, too.

I dunno, I wonder how many people there are that can be swayed by endorsements anymore, we are so polarized
