If anyone wants to be miserable I highly recommend reading the takes on last night from 6 centrist ghouls unearthed by the NYT:
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/16/us/politics/democratic-debate-review.htmlSenator Klobuchar had a great night again. She had it all: intelligence, humor, authenticity, relatability; she knew how to play offense without appearing mean or angry. She was even the first to mention Ohio! Her consistently excellent performances, along with those of Senator Booker and Andrew Yang, should make us all stop and wonder why the D.N.C. set up a debate process seemingly designed to reinforce the inevitability of the top few candidates while making sure they are attacked as much as possible before the general election.

the changes in net fav are all pretty minor. beto, castro, and gabbard look kinda crappy. klobuchar had an effective night. pete's net fav change is actually the same as bernie yeah.

the main effect would be, maybe klobuchar improving her chances of hitting the thresholds for the next debate. the other 3, probably toasted unless they get lucky on sampling.

I think she was definitely better at all this than anyone running in the same general lane as her now, but it's probably easier to handle the left flank of the party when there's only one other candidate and they're 100% guaranteed to lose to you

Re: zorb, he was much livelier and sharper with his attacks, which was not, in hindsight, so much refreshing than it was a welcome change of pace from his other debate performances
Considering his health scare and what is at stake for his campaign with regards to his poll numbers, I personally found Bernie had a much stronger debate performance than anyone on the stage, save for Liz

Not sure if this was noted in last night’s debate comments but warren saying any talk of a public option is tiered access designed to leave behind or leave out the poor was refreshing, and a talking point i wish she and bernie would hit harder and louder.
