I think I've mentally written him off as a "reporting for duty" candidate but maybe I should pay more attention

he's articulated a stronger argument for the existence of his candidacy than pretty much everyone else in the current field other than warren

I would absolutely never vote for him but I do wanna watch him fill potholes and find his campaign fun to follow. The article in The Nation about his dad was interesting too.

he was interviewed on the local pbs news here last night and he was great, funny smart, and very well-spoken. I like him way more now. I also learned he's of maltese descent, which explains his last name as maltese is this weird bastardization of arabic language translated through the roman alphabet.

extremely rough week for the legend of Barbara Lee... can't say it doesn't depress the hell out of me

what the fuck

A favorite of progressive outlets, Lee can amplify Harris' message, help her explain how she was a "progressive prosecutor" -- an issue that's dogged her young campaign -- and essentially be a force multiplier.

I'm sure Lee has her reasons and it's true she's always been less of a "rock the boat" person than her voting record would make you think but it just puzzles me that someone who would vote against SESTA/FOSTA would think Kamala is the best choice

while ideologically i’m disappointed I’m certainly not going to criticize Barbara Lee for this. (her vote earlier this week is another thing)

she can endorse whoever she wants but selling Harris' prosecutor record as progressive is bullshit

I agree with you that I was disappointed in Harris' vote (and Warren's, and Bernie's). But at the same time, which candidate (from Congress) is good on sex workers' issues?

True, they're all pretty terrible on that specific issue
