i think i like the fantasy of just moving to nyc with no money then immediately getting a job at a high end restaurant but not making any money yet because you haven't passed the "training" yet and you live in huge apartment in williamsburg with a roommate you never see

oh I would love if the narrator did little voices for everyone. you already made a fox out to be some arch-villain, just go to the next step.

this is a good show for if you’ve just watched a jeffery epstein doc or something.

re cubers i feel like this was a really lovely little subculture full of stories and characters and max and feliks’ relationship was just delightful

on the two extremes of ways this could have been filmed and edited theres one pole of- loving portrait of a friendship and a dude finding himself and thriving and the other pole woulda been like really problematic inspo porn.

this movie was closer to the former than the latter, but not close enough.

the documentary series on who killed malcolm x on netflix will give you a lot to think about:

six forty-five minute episodes.

yea this was so sweet and enjoyable. i didn't get inspo porn vibes really at all because virtually all of the voices were primary ones and they all seemed quite genuine and reliable. the last interview with feliks def got me into teary eyed land.

Christine (2016) on Netflix was surprisingly good. And even though the climax was expected, it was still extremely unsettling/effective. Rebecca Hall rocks and same goes for the guy who plays the anchor. She was also awesome in 'the gift'.

ha I just started that 15 minutes ago

I hadn't thought about Michael C. Hall in awhile, I don't know the last thing I've even seen him in unless it was Dexter.

feel like so much netflix content is like this for me lately. like its all halfbaked and rushed out or something and i always wish it went deeper and longer and further. a lot of decent things like this and love on the spectrum where after it ends im thinking its already over???
