Does it remove anything other animations? I just want to axe that one.

The fingerprint scanner is garbage. Google says it is by design for extra security lol sure.

I enabled smart lock using my location and that straight up doesn't work.

Charging takes a lot longer than any Samsung phone. I don't see an option for fast charging.

I will probably try Nova launcher so i can actually customize this piece of shit like Android used to let me.

wondering if the finger print scanner will get faster with a software update. i don't mind it right now, it works okay for me. i added my same thumb twice, and it tends to read it better now.

charging does take longer though, which is odd.

i'd try nova launcher but i have to have a separate work profile on it, so, not sure how that will impact it. it didn't let me have smart lock on.

i don't remember seeing any other animations, are there others that you notice? i disabled it as soon as i opened the phone so, i didn't get to see anything else.

ah, you're right. i didn't even experience these before! but i'm fine with them off.

does the "at a glance" only show calendar items if they're 30 mins away? that's the only times i've noticed them. i'd kinda appreciate having like, my whole day on there but alas!

it doesn't grab my work calendar items, but that may be a security thing.

it sucks because the other animations are subtle and add some polish

like opening/minimizing apps

Battery life on pixel 6 is great. Full charge lasts me 2 days easily. But my lord does it charge slow. It took 2 hours to go from 56% to 100% the other morning.

yeah, I think they took battery life to heart after one of the generations (3?) sucked for it. I frequently forget to charge my 4a 5G overnight and it's rarely an issue

i will try to disable that to see if it makes a difference but it says it only slows down charging overnight if you have an alarm set

What phone should I get on black Friday? Currently got a Huawei P30 Pro and I like it a lot but its semi-busted from being dropped. Don't need anything brand new or top of the line necessarily, in fact I'd like something a bit cheaper than that, but I want to keep that quality of camera (Leica Quad, 50x zoom, 40MP) or at least similar

It's not just the generic OS-level adaptive charging features; Google sharply throttles down the Pixel 6 power draw after around 50%, as a trade-off for battery health.

On the plus side, it does mean there's not really any reason not to just keep using your old chargers, since they're not going to be significantly slower than the new 30W ones Google decided they had to sell separately this time.

Dropped my pixel 6 from waist height last night (with a case on) and the corner of my screen cracked. I drop phones all the time and never had this issue. Is the build quality on this thing that poor?

Anyone got a Samsung Galaxy S21? How is it? Is the camera good? Looking at this and the Ultra version

My pixel was the first glass I'd ever cracked

These phones are pretty brittle

I really hate iOS and it's the reason I've never moved to iphone fulltime
