J Dilla - The Shining has been in my CD changer for like 2 years at this point (I use the audio line in pretty much always)

its dumb but kinda cool how CDs sound so much clearer and louder than your mp3 device connected (for those of you with car i-device/whatever connectivity), let alone alone aux-inned (which is even worse)

i havent even messed with whatever setting it is, but my car automatically turns down the volume ever so slightly when i slow down. ie, getting off the highway, hitting the brakes a certain length/hardness. lol

this is the only one i have in the car right now

the disc itself is closing in on 30 years old so i guess cds can last awhile even when treated poorly for decades

My phone connects via Bluetooth but half the time it auto plays that u2 album that I didn't even download.

I do have Remain in Light, a Jason Isbell mix I made and Illmatic for backup though.

When I plug my iPod into my car it always plays the first song in alphabetic order. I've heard the first two seconds of "A Bomb in Wardour Street" roughly a thousand times in the past few years.

The last time I had a car was 2010 and I had Merryweather Post Pavillion that I had copied to a tape in my car

Also had Silver Bullets - Free Radical iirc

and a Johnny Clegg and Juluka best off on cassette

cian ciaran - they are nothing without us
some brahms compilation
yo la tengo - i can hear the heart beating as one
tomahawk - self-titled

i don't use my cd player, though. i'd never willingly listen to Tomahawk in 2017, tbh.

I don't drive but Leonard Cohen, Bill Withers, Neil Young & the Beach Boys are amongst the only music me and my mum both like so I end up hearing one of those whenever I'm in her car. Can't complain
