When I used to drive, my seemingly permanent car CD's were:

Grateful Dead - Skeletons in the closet
Whiskeytown - Pneumonia
Bill Evans Trio - Waltz for Debby
Bill Evans Trio - Sunday at the village vanguard
Neko Case - Middle Cyclone
Oval - Ovalprocess

My car doesn't even have a CD player. In my old car the CD player started rejecting CDs when it was cold for some reason, and eventually it stopped reading them altogether. Before that I had a big binder with 100+ CDs in it, which now lives in my girlfriend's car.

i can only speak from my own experience and out of tons of CDs only one turned this weird brown/bronze color and stopped working entirely

now i did have a number of CDRs go bad. some of those lasted five years tops then were unreadable

It’s been the same for a long time just because I don’t listen to cds in my house or the car much anymore between streaming and vinyl. It’s a pretty solid selection though I think:

Loveless
Good kid maad city
In rainbows
Highway 61 revisited
Laughing stock
TNT
Mingus ah um
Highway 61 revisited
Shaking the habitual

I buy CDs at the thrift store every week probably, and then I put them in CD stands in my garage when I get home. Then in the morning when I leave I grab a cd or two! My car doesn't have bluetooth and I don't use the aux that often.

Currently Taylor Swift folklore and CCR Chronicle!

i stole a bunch of my dad cds a couple years ago when my aux cord broke. tbh its honestly kind of been an overexposure to some of them because I'd keep them in the cd player for a month at a time. The main ones are

Physical Graffiti
Electric Ladyland
Trompe le Monde
Tim
Velvet Underground and Nico
The Wild, The Innocent, and The E Street Shuffle
Exile In Guyville
Let it Bleed
Rumours
Smile
Three-Way Tie for Last or whatever that minutemen album is called

Around that time the only thing I had in my car was Heaven or Las Vegas
