movie was total garbage from beginning to end with maybe 2 half decent scenes in the whole thing. stuffed with cliches and bad writing. he is obsessed with looking cool even though he's a huge dork and nobody cares about his love of old westerns. violence at end was tacked on and shitty. guy should not be allowed to do another film, give the money to someone else.

The re-release in theaters is apparently just some extra movie/tv show-within-the-movie material tacked on at the very beginning and end, the edit of the film itself is unchanged between those.

I got excited when this new version was first announced but now I think I'll just wait to revisit on video & when the expanded Netflix version comes out.
What became of her? She lived, as she liked to say, off the kindness of gentlemen. I assume she’s dead.

Had a fun time watching this today. If anything I wish that the luxuriating, relishing in detail pace of the first two acts had continued into the third, which despite a great foreboding set-up, kind of harriedly tumbled to an end.

Driving, neon signage, good dog, tunes, and hanging/watching tv though phewwwwwww

I did not enjoy this. I thought I would like it but I think it was just bad. I wouldn’t really argue with anyone who liked it. But I didn’t. That is my hot take.

Loved this. Top-tier Tarantino for me.

Seriously thought that Sharon watching the Wrecking Crew was with Robbie inserted into the scenes, didn't realize it was actually Tate.

It'll be interesting to watch this again with my kid, who has no knowledge about the Manson murders or Sharon's final fate.

Granted, Sharon Tate going to her own movie was pretty much the only memorable scene in this for me (well other than the ones that were memorable for bad reasons). Robbie did do an admirable job given that she played a total non-character.

Yes, Robbie should have had a higher word count. That's what matters.

Can you give me a description of the Sharon Tate character in this movie? Like can you tell me how you would characterize using adjectives?

Can someone really be a "character" as opposed to a "non-character" if they don't have a lot of dialogue? The answer is "no".

There are whole movies that have no dialogue and yet tell us things about the characters through their actions.

Regardless, your post is begging the question, if she was just gonna be a wordless non-character, why put her in the film?

I loved this damn movie and I really haven't liked much of Tarantinos stuff past Jackie Brown, with maybe the exception of inglorious basterds

Perhaps you.can understand my reluctance to take this bait when you actually challenged me to use adjectives as a defense? I should take this argument seriously? Especially in light of having to deal with people *in this very thread* who thought the movie was too cruel to the Manson family? Why should I assume this is a good-faith argument?

Lots of questions!
