Has anyone tried the COSRX birch sap lotion? I already use the intensive hyaluronic acid cream at night but I prefer something lighter when I'm going to put an SPF on top (I also use the COSRX 50 SPF which I find is a very good cheap option). Currently I use a moisturiser from The Ordinary in the morning but it's almost run out and if I can go all COSRX my shelf in the cabinet will look pleasingly matchy.

I’m flaaaaaking (a temporary side effect of tret, it looks like I’m recovering from a sunburn). I literally never thought it would happen to me!!! Whatever I’m In love with tret I don’t care.
Update: the birch sap lotion smells amazing! I feel it's not quite as lightweight as I expected but once it's had a minute my skin does slurp it up and I can put my SPF on without feeling like I'm just smearing them together.

I've been experimenting with washing my face every other day, since it's winter and I get dry skin, and this seems to work? I'm finally old enough that I don't really get acne anymore so luckily that's not an issue.
Is this dumb? I have no idea what I'm doing. Just want to glow
i think i’m going to have to pare down my ridiculous regimen to just rosehip oil and aloe vera, maybe an individualized retinol and vitamin c serum but the rosehip oil actually takes care of vit a and c. idk like i mentioned upthread after doing this for awhile i feel like the key thing for me is just trying my face from getting too puffy and dry with allergies and shit so frequent face massages and exfoliation and ice keeps my skin looking alive and good just as much as anything topical
I’m on a skincare break right now. Since I’m shacked up with the bf and his bathroom is small, I’m down to just face wash, moisturizer and sunscreen - no masks, no serums, nothing extra. Brave new world over here.
and it burned the HELL out of my skin. Like my face looked like it had been exposed to the demon core, and stayed that way for about 2 hours. Not sure which extra ingredient did that but I did not see that coming.
(I know I could buy cheap aloe vera from a health supplement type shop but I feel like typically they get super gummy after a while, and stuff sold as moisturiser usually stays a good consistency.)

the way my skin looks after adding 2% salicylic acid and 20% nyacinamide to my reg is honestly bonkers i'm also moisturizing like 3 times a day because i'm bored
i have a couple aha exfoliants i rotate and they make such a difference. get some weird flaky skin between my eyebrows, put one on before bed and I'm glowing the next day
i think if I could only use one skincare product it would be p50
it's honestly such an upgrade from using the bare minimum (cetaphil cleanser once a day) my skin was looking really leathery and now i can take selfies without frowning. p50 looks expensive, is it worth it? i'm intrigued
it's totally worth it imo. it lasts forever since it's a watery toner consistency, literally use like a teaspoon max on damp skin. has had the most immediate and notable effect on my skin of anything

never pulled the trigger on p50–came close-but in the last year i added this to my nightly routine
it’s supposedly a p50 ~dupe~ but all i know is that it’s half the price, cruelty-free, and made with natural ingredients, and it helps keep my cystic acne at bay.
I really don't care for p50. It smells horrible and does nothing for my skin except cause redness and (mild, but still) irritation breakouts.
ymmv, because a lot of people do swear by it, but it didn't do much for me. If I still had any free samples I'd offer to send them to you, but I gave all mine away and due to covid haven't been to the spa to get any new ones.
Anyway if you want to try it, you can either go to one of the spas that sells the stuff and get some free samples (if you go to Rescue Spa in Philly, you can also spend a while admiring a truly stellar cabinet display of high-end snake oil built around this cultish line, which will either leave you in awe or despair of humanity depending on your mood) or you can order a travel size online, which is still pretty expensive, but not prohibitively so. Plus just ordering the travel size means not risking covid for a facial.

niacinamide 10% did good stuff for me (2x daily). i only really only use salicylic acid if i have a few zits or post-zit spots if i want to decrease redness, but maybe i should use every day. the thing that has been absolutely incredible for me is granactive retinoid. i don't get zits anymore and it makes my skin look good in general. i want to get the 5% version from the ordinary but they're sold out.
I have this and it’s fine. At no point has it done any major peeling to my skin like what’s described in some of the reviews, though it does tingle quite a bit.
