Many have tried. Many have failed.

But I think marta might just be the one who turns this thread around.

There’s a telling difference between the fans who insist on watching all 9 movies in chronological order versus release order.

I've happily not watched the prequels in probably a decade at this point

I’m guessing the chronological order ones are all fine with the special editions

The ones I really don't understand are the ones who are like, 4-5-1-2-3-6 or whatever.

Thanks to Blank Check I ironically enjoy the prequels (and may genuinely enjoy them)

Lately I usually go

2-5-7-8-4-1-6-3-R1-Solo

I call it “the alphabetical order”

yeah imagine thinking you should show someone Solo or Rogue One before Star Wars

brain worms

release order, skip the prequels. that's it. play some of the prequel levels of Battlefront or like KotOR if you need some old jedi shit

it's also pretentious in that you assume the watcher will be invested enough to see all 20+ hours of film

like I love Neil Young but I am not gonna tell someone they need to listen to 20 of his albums, in a very early 20s music snob male way, I'm gonna pick the best 3 and see if they wanna keep going from there

i watched them on the initial blu ray box set released in 2011 but not since.

i did however watch the Tartakovsky Clone Wars cartoon last week and they hold up better than the Lucasfilm version.

Believe he's already writing S2 and intends to direct at least 1 of the S2 episodes.

Well, let's hope I get a double victory tonight with an awesome Star Wars trailer and Canada not electing a Scheer government.

Filoni loves his animation style, I'm not a huge fan. There was some cool design stuff to be sure. I got increasingly irritated with TCW over the years so I just couldn't get myself to get into Rebels but I'll probably watch it on Disney Plus because I know I'll get sucked into joining it.
