Just the rock and roll one.

hey! at the moment I have no access to the shop bc of quarantine, so no.

but this is a great time to check out what kind of offerings your fav/local indie shop is doing! throw some bucks at a store if you're able to. lots of places are even just selling gift cards if you feel weird about having something shipped to your home.

If I really liked Child of God by Cormac McCarthy, would any of you have any recommendations for his other books? Was thinking about picking up Blood Meridian.

Blood Meridian is amazing and must be read

I just finished Beloved, loved it. Just ordered Don Quixote, hope it's good!

Four chapters into Don Quixote and I'm loving it. Its sentences are long-winded but it's so funny and distinct that I hardly notice

i'm having a HELL of a time finding reasonably priced copies of the following charles portis works: norwood, the dog of the south, and masters of atlantis. i even emailed the publisher and complained. no luck on alibris or ebay, anyone have recommendations?

i found two of the three at the brookline booksmith a few years back. of course i bought them so they aren't there anymore, but i don't think top-tier used shops like booksmith or powells use any of the aggregator services so you might check them manually.

(i just did for both of those, no luck)

Oh I missed this.
Sad to hear that abs' place is having a tough time and I hope she is doing ok despite that. Big zorb rec'd alibris too a while back and it has worked very well.

Hey sorry I missed these posts, gugger. Place is doing great—all curbside— I actually haven’t worked there in a number of years since I teach full time now.

But the real reason I can’t do the hookup right now is because I gave birth two weeks ago!
