Big co-sign. I was feeling a lot of the above, a little Long Goodbye and the Pynchon of Lot 49 and/or Vineland. I think I loved a lot of this.

Isn't it kinda more about Hollywood/the underbelly of "the dream machine" or whatever than it is about LA or Silver Lake?

it's all about that, only reasons people call it an LA movie is cause it's in LA and cause they're stupid, what the fuck is an LA movie even supposed to be

((Stuffed is loved by old and young because this is where the puddings get sent in. Criss-cross paving and those tinkly hanging bells make ((Stuffed a very homely access to Hades. Full marks.

There’s a good movie in this movie.

It’s a lot less tasteful than Inherent Vice, but honestly more interesting. The comparison to Clowes/Burns style comics was a good one.

Would I like there to be more movies like this? Yes.

Did I like this? Not really.

But did I respect it? I don’t know.

Finally caught this on streaming. I liked about 85% of it. I wanted it to be a lot better than it was, but enjoyed most of it.

I could totally see people hating it, though. Too bad it was unceremoniously dumped.

i was already annoyed by the inherent vice-yness of this and then i came close to seinfeid giffing when they showed the missing local middle-aged millionaire on TV

overall it looked nice and sounded nice but was a mess

the line about homeless people being like poltergeists has stuck with me as one of the ugliest things i've ever seen committed to film
