I was in an Urban Outfitters in NYC in 2003, looking at a table displaying t-shirts when I just happened to slowly look up and see directly across the table and looking right at me was Kevin Bacon. He was wearing skinny jeans and a denim jacket. I smiled briefly and casually looked back down at the shirts; when I looked up again he had walked several feet away and had been joined by two young girls, who for the longest time I assumed were his daughters, though, looking it up now, I see he only has one daughter. Maybe the other was a friend or cousin? I don't know! And if Kyra Sedgwick was there, I didn't see her!

It definitely had 3 scoops of vanilla whey protein, a banana, and peanut butter. It may have had some coffee, too. He was a regular at a coffee shop that I worked at and his order had its own button in the POS that said “BHOP”

He drove a cream colored Bentley and was really soft-spoken. Always had a couple guys with him, but not huge bodyguards or anything. Nice guy, true Philly legend.

I saw Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale walk by while I was waiting to talk to Hum after a show at Irving Plaza in NYC in 1998.

My sister and her husband have had a surprising amount of celebrity run-ins around their upstate NY town. Liam Neeson, Meryl Streep, Peter Dinklage, Chloe Sevigny, I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

Once I went to a bar in West Hollywood that was supposed to be Michigan themed. Michigan is culturally vacant went in comes to food but I heard they showed Red Wings games so I trekked over there one day. I walked in and on what felt like instinct my eyes darted directly toward a middle table where Tom Arnold and Dax Shepherd were both crushing like 3 coney dogs each. Didn’t hear them speak a word to each other the whole time they were there. They eventually left together and I continued watching the game.

Was standing in line at a Quiznos in West LA once reading a comic over the should of the guy in front of me. I thought to myself, “this dude has good taste,” before looking up and realizing it was Phil Lamar. Just nodded to myself and kept reading.

i was at universal studios and got off the spider-man ride and was in the store you exit into and michael jackson walked right by me with a huge entourage in tow, i guess he rode it like right after us. Once he hit the door and rolled into the “street” people started freaking out.

Here in town I saw Tony Hale at the Anthropologie store while he was filming a terrible jimmy fallon movie in town and i said “hey brother” and he seemed pleasantly surprised

I was in a remarkably small and cramped elevator in union station with baby huckle in a stroller. doors opened up and whoopie goldberg and barbara walters jammed in. whoopie immediately went crazy over huckle and picked him up and bounced him in her arms for a couple minutes being as sweet as can be. barbara looked horrified and was slinking in the corner of the elevator. when we got out, whoopie kept playing with huckle and barbara walters said she was going to get a coffee and left. whoopie gave me a big hug at the end and said I must be a great dad to have such a happy beautiful son (lol) and it was all really nice and I was happy for the rest of the day. and I don't blame or fault barbara walters, she's earned the right to not go near a child if she doesn't want to

Saw P Diddy playing craps while walking through The Wynn at 2 AM
A very drunk Dikembe Mutombo sat behind us at the Flamingo’s cafe at like 4 AM

When I was in LA I saw Jon Lovitz going to a movie by himself and Betty White and Perez Hilton getting a drink together

In NYC I saw Dangermouse and James Mercer at a bar and told them I was a fan, then got back to my hotel room later and they were playing on Jimmy Fallon

Two very good stories above.

I also saw Lake Bell at a Trader Joes in Sherman Oaks. She was very striking and appeared quite friendly. I was there for some fall cider.

I saw Jerry Seinfeld at a restaurant near Washington Square Park that sold peanut butter sandwiches. One variety on the menu was named after him. He was with some bald guy and two children. We made eye contact and I could see that he knew that I recognized him. He looked afraid that I would say something to him but I didn’t. Then his wife drove up in a huge SUV and picked them all up.
I reduced the temples of Elam to naught; their gods and goddesses I scattered to the winds. The tombs of their ancient and recent kings I devastated, I exposed to the sun, and I carried away their bones toward the land of Ashur.

when i was in santa monica for like two days i had to go to a pharmacy for something and saw kareem abdul jabbar picking up his prescriptions

like two or three weeks ago i went to see first reformed at the angelika in nyc and as i was walking in a saw a tall guy who i genuinely thought was someone who had graduated high school a few years before me but then he looked over at me and i realized it was bo burnham. i guess he was seeing the movie too, because when i was leaving the theater i saw that he had been a few rows behind me, which made me feel bad bc i was nervous i had made a motion during the 8th grade trailer that i hope he didn't mistake as me hating on his directorial debut

i saw martin freeman a bunch when he was here shooting the hobbit, just walking around town by himself looking bored, like he really needed a friend. also one time i saw him in the local record store looking at old country records. oh that reminds me, i saw andy serkis at a town near wellington (eastbourne for those who know the area). he parked his bike outside this second hand bookstore being run outta someones garage in full black lycra. i was with my parents and exclaimed "that's andy serkis!!!" a bit too loudly and it was a v small spot so he was understandably a lil creeped out.

James Cameron and Linda Hamilton.

Since that was answered already I'll change this post to the incredibly exciting time I realized NHL journeyman / current New Jersey Devils Assistant GM Tom Fitzgerald was also eating at Bagel World.

i watched woody harrelson go through security at the airport

he was wearing cargo shorts and a huge hawaiian shirt and sunglasses. he had a box with him that was the size of a small loaf of bread and it was locked and they were asking him questions about it and he never replied with words, he just shrugged and gestured at the box a bunch, looking fully disinterested in the whole ordeal. they were visibly frustrated but eventually just said fuck it and let him go.

Saw Arnold Schwarzenegger ice skating in Sun Valley in 1991. Magical.

Drinking a beer in Montpellier, FR on Halloween with hair died orange and face painted like Bowie, I ran into Roger Waters. He said, “I believe I’ve met you before.”

Oh, I saw Dan Aykroyd at Hen of the Wood in Burlington. He was at the chef’s table with a group of people and as I was walking past I heard him say “...well the vodka’s not organic”, presumably referring to crystal head vodka.
