I don't think I realized until today that A24 and Annapurna were different things. I guess Annapurna is more about giving big budgets to auteurs though?

i guess i just dont pay attention to who puts out the movies i see. i saw and liked moonlight, florida project, the lobster and good time. just saw 8th grade which it seems is a24 also.

I don't typically notice, but I started to realize 8-10 months ago that a handful of the movies i've most enjoyed lately have been A24 releases so now I tend to notice when they put something out - but not really anyone else.

calling a lot of these "A24 movies" is a bit of a stretch. They're primarily a distribution company, not a production company - or at least they were until a couple of years ago
