I don't think relying on yourself to dictate your nicotine intake is generally a good idea.

been doing better only had 1 cig all day at work yesterday

i'm almost out of rolling tobacco, maybe one good spliff left from that and then i have 4 random menthol american spirits left in my work desk and that should be that.

i found some old nicotine gum (expired 4 years ago) from a previous quit attempt so been using that as well.

it's not that bad - you just have to realize that the bad feeling is bc you're not "allowed" to have another cigarette - well of course i'm "allowed" to - i'm just choosing not to

After a lot of false starts I’ve finally hit 1 yr + (not sure if exact date). I chew a shit to of nicorette gum tho and that stuff has been as expensive as my 1 pack and 1/2 a day habit. I’m trying to taper down now to something more reasonable and feeling p irritable. I’ve been w/o cravings for awhile now and suddenly cigs look so good again

On day 3 I decided to leave the patch off and just chew gum(4 mg)- I chewed prolly 8 pieces. which was encouraging.
Today I left off the patch and have taken down the gum intake. Woke up at 8, it's almost 8pm, had 4 pieces of gum so far. That's 1 every three hours.

Dunno, not following the directions but don't want to deal with cravings for months on end gradually coming off. They've been helpful so far

Oh yeah,
also half-doing the no-drink november deal(drinking on holidays and at a conference obv), so, the sugar is kinda offset anyways

otherwise i'm also both working out and over eating as a strategy for now

in my case, i moved to a country that didnt sell my brand and if i chose to buy something else, it would cost me $20+ for the pack.

Seems that if I can go a day without I actually become more nervous when I smoke

no idea if this would work for anyone else but I'm two weeks cig free and haven't had any cravings somehow

I took acid recently in the hopes that it would make me quit smoking; it didn't work. ketamine did it once for me; I left my body then came back and was horrified by how I was filling it with poison. I don't know how I got addicted to the stupidest thing in the world

I'm going to try transitioning back to dipping but that's so gross too. I want to feel okay without it

hehe thanks. Um, I tried like three times, the final time committed to the idea of never doing again and stuck with it. I was inspired by one of those like health milestones charts in a pharmacy that say how your body repairs after however long and combined that with politicising the goal, which was wanting to be without the control of big tobacco, scourge on working class etc.
