this is nothing on you tones but it's incredible how frequent and reliable the pattern of behavior on this board is where, when a boarder goes from like tier 5 or 6 to tier 1-3 and becomes more known over time, they look to drop a word or two from their handle to become mononymous
i think it's two things, obviously it's easier and a little more intimate to refer to someone by a single name in posting, but also it kinda shows you made it, you've established a persona and name for yourself. you are no longer a multi-hyphenate phrase, you are just TONES or CLOUDS or SCIENCE etc

My grey usergroup, ash, is for boomer boarders. We're seniors but that doesn't mean we can't live an active posting lifestyle with our fun online friends. However I can't seem to figure out the usergroup system and have not been able to add the people who requested to join.
