Can you remembered what books you studied in school?

Health insurance rip off lying FDA big bankers buying
Fake computer crashes dining
Cloning while they're multiplying
Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson
Courtney Love, and Marilyn Manson
You're all fakes

Come around

There's actually one book that we read that I can never remember and for some reason the details I do remember are not enough to google it. It was set either in the colonial days or just after independance and a family moves to western Pennsylvania which is still frontier land and his dad wants to set up a mill and one day the son comes home and finds his whole family scalped by native Americans

no high school. i think the only fiction books i read in college were frankenstein? in some class i don't recall lol. also barbara ehrenreich's nickel and dimed which isn't fiction but infuriated me. then i also took a world literature class which had some pretty left field picks in it that i was glad i took. i wish i could remember the names more. i remember this stuck with me in particular.

in middle school we got the hobbit as a summer reading thing for the following year's pre-ap class. i went into the barnes and noble and some employee asked what i was looking for and i said the hobbit and he said have you checked a hole in the ground? and laughed at his own joke and i knew that guy was me one day.

high school

i heard the owl call my name (i was the only student in the class who liked this book)
a separate peace
gatsby
the awakening
their eyes were watchimg god
the hungry tide
drown
hamlet
romeo and juliet
fried green tomatoes
lord of the flies
fences
death of a salesman
i know why the caged bird sings
catcher in the rye
the things they carried

there were more definitely, the obscure ones were from when i went to boarding school and my teacher tried to have a curriculum that wasn't all dead white men. my dad was a former english professor and academic chauvinist who would insist on looking over my syllabus and grousing about how i wasn't reading enough of 'the classics' so because of that a lot of these stick in my head better than in college.

Here's what I remember:

8th: The Outsiders
9th: The House on Mango Street, Lord of the Flies, To Kill A Mockingbird, Romeo and Juliet
10th: Of Mice and Men, The Bean Trees, Antigone, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, Fahrenheit 451
11th: The Crucible, The Great Gatsby, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
12th: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time again lol

I was an English major in college, and trying to remember all of those would be a lot more difficult, but some key ones were:
Into the Wild, The Grapes of Wrath, A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again, a bunch of Shakespeare, The Bluest Eye, Their Eyes Were Watching God

Smooth lever mechanism and large press chamber EMPOWER the AVERAGE AMERICAN with minimal grip strength, lessening the food preparation time so that you can FOCUS on creating dishes on par with professional chefs.

Looking back on it, we read a surprisingly small number of books. I've read so much more on my own than I ever did for school. I remember:

Romeo & Juliet
To Kill a Mockingbird
And Then There Were None
Julius Caesar
Night
The Scarlet Letter (Although I didn't read it because I fucking hated it)
The Crucible
Huckleberry Finn
1984 (Not for an English class)
Sophie's World (Not for an English Class)
Fast Food Nation
The Interpreter of Maladies

Waaaaaay too much time was dedicated to writing research papers. My English teachers were fucking slouches.

I just remembered reading Gatsby, Lord of the Flies, and A Wrinkle in Time but I don't remember what years. AWIT might have been a self-selection in middle school, I don't remember.

Elementary School:
Hatchet
Call of the Wild
I don't remember reading anything in 4th or 3rd grade. In 2nd grade my teacher still read out loud to us and she read us a book called "The Last of the Really Great Wang Doodles" that I remember being dope.

9th grade:
once and future king
the odyssey

midsummer night's dream

10th:
angela's ashes

11th:

great gatsby

12th:

Haha yeah, I think my sixth-form English literature list was like

A Midsummer Night's Dream
Spies
Thomas Hardy's poetry collection
Hamlet or Macbeth (can't remember which :( )
The Lyrical Ballads

There may have been another novel but I don't think so. Two years worth of required reading
