let's argue over what's the last legit great rock album

Health insurance rip off lying FDA big bankers buying
Fake computer crashes dining
Cloning while they're multiplying
Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson
Courtney Love, and Marilyn Manson
You're all fakes
Run to your mansions
Come around
We'll kick your ass in

Rock needs serious anthropological unpacking.

Any recommendations on books like that?

Nothing Feels Natural by Priests was the only album I'd consider 'rock' that was among my faves of the year semi-recently.

'No City to Love' by S-K was good!

it’s cryptograms or public strain for me

broadly defining rock as “music with guitars”

It's definitely better. One of my favorite albums of this decade.

One time I described High Rise as "hard rock" because I couldn't think of anything better, and my friend's cool girlfriend looked at me like I was an idiot and said "hard rock, huh?"
