1 or 2 maybe, but my voicemail isn't set up and my phone is on silent unless I'm expecting a call.

2-4 a day now, though for a period in 2016-17 it was every 10-30 min. Had to keep my phone on silent all the time. I have no idea why it started or why it slowed down.

I get some text spam but just delete it.

many. but the texts have gotten less frequent lately, always somebody like "hey johnny.. you live in (town next over from mine) and do you want to save money on your insurance?"

the first thing they ever texted me in this line of spam was that Johnny was coming out of a hospital or treatment unit and "you didn't say hi to me. Johnny was that you???", "i swear i saw you johnny"

I haven't got text spam in ages, fortunately. It was always about insurance.

Spam/cold-call selling fly-by-nights prioritize the US over other countries because they're, as my once dishevelled floor manager once called them "easily convinced and full of money"

by comparison Canada gets almost no phone spam because we culturally don't buy anything over the phone, I'm told

I changed my phone number a few years ago and it was great because no one had my number for months. I'm sure it's been sold to plenty of telemarketing agencies by now.

Canada apparently has a big problem with scammers calling pretending they're the Canada Revenue Agency looking for payment in itunes gift cards. I still can't believe this works, but the most fragile minded must still succumb to it.

My favorite scammer was an Australian guy pretending he was from Scotia Bank saying I owed them a bunch of money and he was damn near laughing through the entire message. He was probably high as hell. I've never had any dealings with Scotia Bank.
