i like/respect what this band's trying to do. first song didn't sell me completely until that ending part. but yeah it's cool. will definitely listen to the album once it's out

Wish the bass kid got some more action. one of his tracks I heard at the show was basically a Shipping News ripoff with stream of consciousness spoken word about reading the paper at a 7/11

opted not to go down to NY to seem them a few days ago. hoping that won't be a 'regret for the rest of my life' decision.

it's a little more palpable live. i saw them twice last week and within the context of their skronky cacophony it makes more sense

also speedway sounds like a demented Talking Heads song live with scratchy Byrne-esque rhythm guitars. i dunno why they decided to record it in studio like that.

this song is insane. I can't believe how tight of musicians they are despite their youth. The drummer is good, but don't sleep on the bass player.

It is, although it was immediately accessible for me. Each listen to "Crow's Perch" seems to reveal more every time, though.

I don't mind the voice but I can see how someone might.

stoked that they're posturing for an album, but I've definitely imprinted on the live version of that track already. listening to the studio version feels all dissonant now! :|
