I do like Dr. Jurati though, seems like she'd totally fit in the TNG world

Just in the tie-in comic, it seems. I guess she was his first officer during the Romulan evacuation.

it doesn't help that any time we've spent on earth previously has been either an empty hallway in starfleet command or grandpa sisco's scrump restaurant, so they don't have a lot to work with

Im a big fan the tng/ds9 pod, even went to their Wrath of Khan live show. I would start at the beginning so you can trace all the in jokes

this show is bad but its badness made me realize i was expecting it to be bad and its roughly as bad as I expected and unless it gets worse, I'm gonna stick with it.

but if i actually think about it, its sort of a bummer that they're doing this to the picard character and I officially don't think anyone whos touched trek in the last 10 years has any sense of what made trek trek.

picard is like kinda picard in generations but starting in first contact he is 100% a totally different character and they never looked back.
