i woke up this morning and saw there were some charges on my account from amazon (it was like $16) and i called bank of america. they turned off my card and froze my account as i was asking them to wait so i could buy my bus pass for the day so i had to walk a mile to class and then four to work and then i had a three hour meeting immediately and another hour meeting after that and now i think i am dead and waiting for my account to unlock.

is there any way i can at least see what was purchased? i want to know what the $15.89 that completely fucked my day was spent on. if it was something cool i'll at least feel a lot better.

also how long does it take to get your account turned back on and how do i get money out of my account if i work during bank hours and currently have no card.

i guess i really am just curious how i get money currently given that i don't have a card with access to my account. do i just say "sit at my desk during working hours? lol!" and walk to the bank?

i'm afraid you pre-ordered a book a long time ago, forgot about it, the release date finally came and the charge went through. you scammed yourself.

no. i don't order things from amazon, worrywort.

when my account is unfrozen (which, again, how long does this take) i can use like google wallet or w/e right? or is that hooked up to a card specifically.

Would you be able to explain the situation to a superior then head to the bank? Seems like a pretty valid excuse for having to take a few minutes away from work.

Oh it’s closed now. I’m afraid you’ll never get out of this pickle.

I used to keep cash on me all the time and then slowly stopped carrying it because I hated dealing with change and then BAM the bank called while I was driving home from my parents’ summer cottage to tell me my account was compromised and I had to freeze my card but like an idiot I did it while my car was on empty and I had no way of paying for gas to get home so I had to wait at the gas station for like 6 hours before someone could drive out to me. Now I make sure to at least keep a twenty on me at all times.
