Let's talk hats

I’ve played fantasy football for 21 years and this is my worst year. Very erratic.

I need like 15 points between Darrel Williams and Harrison Butker to win.

Waking up to find out Derrick Henry is getting an MRI on what could be a season ending injury… gotta love fantasy :D

I have the #1 waiver in both my leagues but of course Jeremy McNichols is already owned in both, somehow

I don't know if other people find this kind of thing interesting. But I was going back over my league's draft to see how it looked after eight weeks. One of the things I looked up was the best undrafted players at each position. In our league it looks like this:

QB: Carson Wentz (currently #11 overall)
RB: Cordarelle Patterson (currently #8 overall)
WR: Christian Kirk (currently #27 overall)
TE: Dalton Schultz (currently #5 overall)
D/ST: Cardinals (currently #2 overall)
K: Nick Folk (currently #1 overall)

Yet we still have people drafting defenses and kickers before the last two rounds every year!

The other thing that I thought was pretty interesting was that somebody took Kelce in the first round, and indeed he is the #1 tight end. But he's averaging 17.5 points per game, the same as a running back drafted in the ninth round. In the meantime players still on the board at the time of that pick included Derrick Henry, Jonathan Taylor, Tyreek Hill, and Austin Ekeler.

drafting one of those stud TE’s tho…you outscore yr opponent at that position every week

speaking of…i’m completely fucked now, as my top two rb’s were henry and hunt. feels hopeless, so i’m thinking it’s time to try for some crazy trade. the worst team in our league has a few rbs…jonathan taylor and nick chubb most notably. is offering darren waller for one of them insulting?

The entire first round looks like the battlefield in Gone with the Wind. I drafted Jonathan Taylor with the 10th pick and I feel like he must be on some Final Destination shit at this point.

Did anyone else draft Michael Thomas in hopes that he'd be available for a playoff push? I feel like I do this every year: grab some injured guy with name recognition assuming that he's going to burst in like the Kool-Aid man around week 8. It's never worked out.

outside of final 2-3 rounds of a draft, it's a great strategy to avoid injured players in your draft, specifically for all the lost return, even if Thomas was back today, it cost you a lot for all the weeks he missed getting a 0
in the international space station having a three-way with hillary clinton and sarah palin

I picked him up with either the last pick or after the draft before any injuries and bye weeks, but he didn’t stick around long, I’m a roster tinkerer

I’m great at keeping an eye out for like 2 weeks before someone’s scheduled to come back and sniping them

i drafted Leveon Bell the year he held out all season - i never traded him - and still won the league in a cake walk

i've been sitting on CEH for the past three weeks without an IR spot - it seems possible? likely? he's not back until week 13 (week 12 bye)

it makes sense to drop him for whoever, right?

looks like Jeff Wilson Jr is back this week and thinking on making the switch

Depends on the size of your league. In 14/16 team leagues I wouldn’t drop him

Which shitty qb should I roll with in my home league/any league with rodgers or kyler?

Tyrod
Jimmy G
Jordan Love
Baker
Guess Daniel Jones is an option in a couple leagues but I want to roll with Love or Tyrod
At least we have

I'd be running Jimmy G this week (he's my emergency if Kyler is down)

I need to pickup a TE to play this week. Don't want to get rid of Hockenson. Should I drop Chuba Hubbard, Alexander Mattison, AJ Dillon, or Javonte Williams?

unless you have him as a jones handcuff dillon seems droppable. he looks good when he gets on the field but the touches aren’t there. maybe it’ll be different with love at qb but I don’t know…he’s been on my bench all season and there hasn’t been a week where I regretted not playing him and my rbs suck.

Yeah, I've got all of those guys as handcuffs, but I don't own any of their counterpart starters.

Bateman almost had his breakout game this week and has the dolphins next week. i'm going to start him in my other league i think he'll go off. lamar had a good rushing game last week but probably his worst passing game in terms of accuracy. he usually follows up bad games with good ones and they're playing miami and it's obvious they are trying to get bateman the ball a lot to get him up to speed. he had 8 targets yesterday

For some reason I didn’t realize until today that the extra game on the schedule meant an extra game in fantasy too. All this time I’ve been thinking it’s 13-game regular season in my league but it’s actually 14.
