bane puts a hand on the guy with long hair's shoulder and says "no brother they expect one of us in the wreckage." guy: "have we started the fire?" "yes the fire rises."

bane escapes from the plane on a vertical zipline holding a screaming dr. pavel in his strong arms. "now is not the time for fear. that comes later."

this was mostly dumb but in an earnest nerdy way you can't fully hate. but dude needs a script editor. there's some good ideas and images here. washington is so good. but they talk and talk and it's fine that the plot is complex and you need exposition but when the movie also moves at the pace of a blockbuster it starts to feel like nagging

came to post my thoughts (dunno, it looked interesting at times and all the actors are attractive) but now I’m just thinking about the TDKR opening scene and how perfect it is

First hour was a drag; it got a little better afterwards. Would have been nice if I could have understood the dialogue more than half the time.

if people wanna see more jdw, ballers is the stupidest fucking show ever but hes one of several very charming balmy performances on it, also incl the Rock and rob cordry.
There’s no path to a satisfying conclusion at this point.

Were the don-dons upthread that people didn't know Denzel is JDW's dad? Anyway, he def inherited his dad's charisma. You can't teach that.

I know it has been beaten to death, but the garbled sound mix really did effect how much I was able to get into it. Also, there was literally no reason for Kenneth Branagh's character to be Russian, though I'm sure Branagh enjoyed acting in a foreign accent.

just saw this at a drive-in (my first drive-in experience). it had subtitles on for the whole film. is that normal? it was actually pretty helpful.

the scene on the catamarans has to be the all-time "i cannot hear anything that is being said" scene from a nolan movie. it was so funny. the characters were literally yelling at each other and i still hadn't a notion what they were saying
