god this was so fucking good. i love how it's trying to be both crash and a single room play at the same time. a++++ would pirate again

also watched loose change 2nd edition. it's fucked up some 20 year old with google video and a cracked copy of after effects helped to create the modern conspiracy movement. it seems quaint now but. super devastating legacy of that loose change. this 9/11 owns. should honestly get in the spirit of doing bad 9/11 media on 9/11 every year. really loving this 9/11

Who else was a 9/11 truther as a youth

I read a lot of Michael Ruppert and thought Fahrenheit 9/11 didn’t go nearly far enough

I asked some poor geology/Env studies guest lecturer a VERY pointed question about Ruppert and peak oil as a reporter covering his talk for the school paper when I was a freshman

my favorite DART driver was the first time i was ever explosed to 9/11 truth. he drove the east plano route down by my apartment complex. he would talk to my dad about politics all the time and he was not particularly hard to get screaming about 9/11 truth if you got him going long enough. i first noticed him in the summer of 2003 he was let go before the schoolyear started. always wonder what happened to that guy

I got up at like noon or whatever so i think both the towers had already collapsed? And my mom and bf caugh tme up on thigns and then i went to watch the news for a few hours. It freaked me out enough that i felt anxiety for about two weeks and i remember i had to get myself away from the news and then i decided to watch the whole star wars trilogy the day after because obviously it's balm. I do remember i had a medical trial maybe a week later because i have memories of lying in bed at a trial there and still feeling anxious about what would unfold.

Some people get really weird about this. My super patriotic coworker texted the group chat that she was literally listening to 911 calls from the planes and towers today. People sure love to randomly traumatize themselves for America

though it didn't take long for the realization to sink in of how incredibly privileged you were if 9/11 was the first event to terrorize you

Today I overheard one of my juniors say "we didn't talk about 9/11 in any of my classes today..."

And my immediate thought was "fuck! Was I supposed to talk about 9/11???"

It seems like it's just the last thing on the news these days. it's a bit like Columbine: it was the 20th year since just the other month, and no news or media really even covered it that much. peculiar.

The old hipinion threads from the day is interesting... people talking about synesthesia a full 12 years before Dev Hynes and Lorde kept going on about it in every single interview.

that's just fascination masked as "trauma." people assume it's socially "wrong" to find 9/11 footage interesting so when they see it and find themselves compelled to watch more they have to make some kind of declarative statement to make themselves feel better about having done so.

see also: anyone who visits Auschwitz and then writes an essay on Facebook about how you can't possibly grasp how bad the Holocaust was until you've done the exact same thing they did.

Still 9/11 here, this is my nauseating 9/11 social media cult-of-remembrance find of the day. and yes after all these years it bothers me that they didn't commit to crashing the planes at 9:11am
