i was at a hockey game so i followed the last 4 innings on my phone. very quick turn around from elated to defeated in the ninth. but houston is the better team this year. nats-stros should be a great series, pitching matchups will be fantastic.
trade andujar this offseason for some starting pitching.

I just don't want the Nats to win. They have no real fans because they're all fairweather turds who jumped ship because the Orioles had been bad for so long.

Wow the Mariners have the same amount of World Series appearances as the Yankees this decade.

Once since 1997. 2 wild cards.
Just let me be salty about the Nats.

Tough loss! Wish they could've sent CC out with another ring but at least he got one. With all the injuries, I think Houston was the better team but the Yankees had them on the ropes so many times and couldn't take advantage.
I have to say - after watching probably 90% of the games this year - with all of the injuries and how the team kept winning despite them, the team getting huge performances from unknown guys like Urshela and Tauchman, DJ's unbelievable year, Gleyber's emergence as a superstar, Boone's memorable ejections...after all of this, the thing that still surprises me the most is that Joe Buck and John Smoltz have jobs.

It’s also worth mentioning that Luhnow worked for McKinsey and Company, a management consulting firm, before getting into baseball.
Hmm.
EDIT: Oh, duh, I swapped Luhnow's and Taubman's names in my head when reading that.
