these age groups were chosen arbitrarily, I'm not sure if even all of these are represented in our community.

Remember when roy accused me of taking advantage of college students when people donated for my cat? That was 4 years ago. She legit thought we were all college students. Wild.

my face is sliding nicely into 'wine and don't give a fuck' years but I don't drink much. Being late 30s is weird.

I remember finding the board when I was a college freshman...in 2004.
It's comforting to think that somewhere unfathomably far away incomprehensible beings are possibly having some kind of subjective experience of a world that possibly observes basically the same laws as our own

I'm 38. Every year when kid8 makes his birthday thread I spend a minute reflecting that we're the same age and we've probably been on the board for roughly the same amount of time. The world's a strange place.

The idea that there are a bunch of college age students seeking out an aging offshoot of pitchfork message board in the year of our lord 2019 is hilarious to me. I know we have people that age around but that's definitely a novelty. Anyone that age who likes a forum style platform is probably on reddit.

I remember posting in a "how old are you" thread here back when I was 20 or 21 and someone was like "Jesus Christ how are you only [x] years old"
I'm 36 now

I started boarding in Dec 2007 (when I was 23) and I remember that even then there was a culture of people having boarded for a long time. I had been with my current gf for only 2 years at that point!

It really is a cesspool. I enjoyed a couple forums but it's just incredibly toxic and I gladly noped out. Sad, because I had a ton of karma lol
