I wonder what the set order will be - Garcias > Ryley & Jewell > Forsyth backed by Garcias > closing megajam?

I think it was mentioned elsewhere in the thread, but the new Wet Tuna is really, really good. The opening track is one of my favorite from this year.

I've been really inspired by all of this stuff lately. It's pretty exciting being witness to what feels like the first blast of an authentic psychedelic revival. I had the chance to create some jams with friends last weekend and definitely felt the influence of this scene in what we played.

All this coinciding with me really getting into the Dead for the first time is pretty cool.

Yeah I fucking love Water Weird so much, stoked to see Wet Tuna play a few sets of straight psych jamz on Friday. By all accounts the new MV album is out of this world, comes out in a few weeks.

Definitely agree w/ you that this stuff is all so exciting. I was too young for New Weird America and started getting into all that stuff and the older psych stuff circa 2010 so this is definitely the first time where it feels like it's all coalescing into something more. From my perspective tho it probably has a lot to do with living in NYC vs. Dallas, which definitely lacked a hetty psych scene

The venue site for the Chicago show has Hand Habits and Garcia Peoples listed, nothing about Ryley or Forsyth. hmmmm

I think it's only the Northeast New Year's run that includes Ryley & Forsyth, unfortunately.

Frankly, it rips that getting sober opened the door to Ryley chilling exclusively on the astral plane.

I actually recorded a set in Oly but I have to see how the quality is (I was frying hard at the time). I will upload it if at all listenable lol.

Saw The Peoples Friday. Delivered hard, but another opening set, so only an hour. Still itching for a two set freak out. Was funny seeing Conklin in the house, mobbed by a group of dudes in their 30s. He was like a guru in a Carhart jacket.

Also on the bill was Peter Alexander of Dire Wolves who played in a group with the guys from Elkhorn. It was a good set of mid-tempo choogles. And I think we may have touched on Elkhorn before now, but well worth repeating because these dudes rule.

I was under the weather and didn't want to pay $20 to feel obliged to stay and watch some classic rock cosplay with the main act covering The Last Waltz, but feeling like a real dork for not going to this show now:

Also, nice crisp recording of the show in Kingston DW was at: https://archive.org/details/garciapeoples2019-11-15

Ah, shit. I opted to see some ambient country down the street that night instead but seriously considered hitting the Peoples set first. The $20 entry ended up pushing me away too
