Does anyone know where the speech in Grand Central pt. II comes from?

I still don't understand these spatial whatevers. It's honestly one of the weirdest albums in my library precisely because of what it does to my speakers as opposed to listening on headphones. The music "jumps out then proceeds to have a wank on my floor with it's out-thereness in sound design"

Fun fact the spoken word interlude on that track is apparently from an episode of NYPD Blue

lol god i was trying to track this down

the sentimentality of it with the scott-heron sample just saying "faggots" over and over again is fucking brutal lol

Yeah I was gonna suggest anyone looking for related stuff from Sprinkles/Comantonse to check out Frank & Tony/Scissor and Thread

Thaemlitz is a singular artist but Scissor and Thread scratch that more deep house itch

I saw her and Francis Harris back in 2013. Guessing that was my one and only shot given she hasn't come back or really toured the states since, so pretty glad I took advantage. She broke out "Grand Central Pt I" at like 3AM, and had it wrapped up in some other track, just a transcendent experience

Corollary to the thread title: is "Brenda's $20 Dilemma" the most haunting song title

I can't stop thinking about the fact that there's a Ducktails remix on Queerifications???? Apparently Ducktails bro hit Terre up for a remix because he's a big fan??? and terre was like "uh sure lol" (obv before Ducktailsman's desperately horrible shit came out)

It's just like...they seem to represent two of the points furthest from each other in the contemporary musical world I can imagine and did even before Ducky Duck was outed as a sociopath monster or whatever

These are totally pointless ramblings sorry lol
