this scene from salo has stuck with me

Health insurance rip off lying FDA big bankers buying
Fake computer crashes dining
Cloning while they're multiplying
Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson
Courtney Love, and Marilyn Manson
You're all fakes
Run to your mansions
Come around
We'll kick your ass in

I know it's fun to clown on things and as members of www.clown-forum.com we should at least be trying to have fun, but didn't whatever sorcery was going on here result in the biggest Democratic electoral win since LBJ?

It’s probably an experience worth having. I’ll never forget having seen it, which I guess says something for it

It's good but you should watch literally every other Pasolini film first

i've seen every Pasolini except Salo...his work starts out so good with the neo-realism dialectical revisionism stuff, peaks with Gospel St. Matthew, gets wilder but more inconsistent in the late 60s...and then those ancient literature adaptations in the 70s are just trash and i have no idea what's the point of them and i just can't see myself digging Salo in any conceivable way

i mean i'm gonna watch it at some point obv...

I’ve only seen Pasolini metabolized in other works, like visitor q or hard to be a god.

The criterion blu ray for Teorema drops on Tuesday so I’ll prolly get that. Salo is something i own on blu ray but, like cannibal holocaust and irreversible, dunno if i can ever sit down and endure.

I think the disturbing aspects of Salo, while certainly present, are perhaps not quite up to its routine presence in MOST SHOCKING MOVIES EVER listicles.
