i do it with a swedish fish in one hand (that he gets to eat as soon as the shot's done) and with the other hand i pinch his shoulder with my nails and say, "ok, look at the pinch and tell me which one hurts worse" it makes the shot itself pretty easy.

but still, the wind up is absolutely unbearable.
