Update—6:19 p.m. ET, 09/16/2020: Following the original publication of this story, Sony has told Kotaku that the trailer claiming Demon’s Souls would be coming to PC and “other consoles” was a mistake. The rep attributed the incorrect information to “human error.” Demon’s Souls will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5.

i wouldn't completely rule out PC at some point way later but yeah the whole "not available on other consoles until a later time" was a big tell it was an error since its a Sony owned IP

gotta imagine they implement some quality of life changes at least, like removing sex-restricted outfits and item burden

glad they showed off "press x to climb" immediately, something that only appears in demon's souls

can't wait to fight as the old monkToggle Spoiler again

lv3 thank you so much for all of your insight and encouragement. sincerely grateful for that!

egger how you holdin up bub

The main reason I bought a PS4 was because Bloodbourne is (the best) PS4 exclusive, I've had a couple playthroughs with your typical meta builds - last run I had with this gem I managed to kill..... Princess/Queen whatshername that's wearing a bloodstained white lace dress while flinging blood bullets at you the whole fight. She's found only in the late chalice dungeons and was the last boss I had to conquer.

Compared to Sekiro, you can see a lot of similarities with how the Soulsbourne games evolved over time, especially the transition in PvE from cowering behind your shield in DkS1 to BB's gun parrying/faster combat and finally Sekiro's almost complete lack of shields and heavy reliance on parrying.

It took me so long to explore new areas in DkS1+2 because I was always hiding behind my shield afraid to attack/get hit. When I first started BB I still had the turtle mentality and was constantly getting wrecked - until I realized the benefits of rushing in to attack. Once I got to Sekiro I had to adjust my playstyle to get used to parrying but my lengthy time in BB got me prepared.

TL;DR: The whole From Software run of Soulsbourne games are amazingly designed and I am so glad I got to experience them when the games were relatively new.

Oh and I have time this Friday and Saturday if anyone else wants to hop on Bloodbourne or one of the Souls for some co-op or n00b ganking

Pretty pissed at myself! Clesred out the catacombs, took out the boss (neat design but super easy) and hit the snowy city only to realize I didnt have the doll to proceed. What the fuck. End up exploring firelink shrine and buying the key to the tower thinking like bloodborne id find a doll here. Nope. Finally had to breakdown and google it, realized I missed the crystal sage boss. Another stupid easy boss. After taking down abyss watchers its like what the fuck, these bosses are a joke

You know how bad I am at killing bosses by now. My worst experience was that I never found the bonfire in front of the crystal sage. I somehow missed it. So I would start at the bonfire way up the hill where the two depressed hunters were (that woman and her silent companion) and run through the whole swamp dodging dogs, and up through that ruin which was kind of a narrow struggle in itself. Dozens and dozens of times. Being able to do that whole 5 minute run flawlessly became its own thing. Just to get smoked by the boss. Months later I found out there was a fire just outside while watching a lore video.

This is basically how I played through catacombs/tomb of giants in DS1. Absolutely despised them both

Besides the NPC who kicks you in the hole and that whole little diversion, i found it obnoxious and ugly to look at (lol)

Giant skeleton ball in catacombs in DS3 was legit awesome, as was the falling bridge. I actually enjoyed the level this time around. In DS1 I just found it to be a slog

i hated the catacombs in 1 the first time through but now i dig it. i think a lot of the cool shit about it is obviated by new players avoiding it like the plague until they're overleveled. same with new londo ruins, but that area truly does suck. tomb of the giants is great but would be better served if the sunlight maggot didn't exist, or was much weaker. nothing beats coming up on that one giant skeleton dog before it senses you

it's made up of five large areas that don't interconnect. plenty of shortcuts & tricky architecture in each though

I feel so dirty. I summoned an NPC and a human player for the pontiff fight. His second stage was just too infuriating
