"Michelle Zauner has announced her third Japanese Breakfast album: Jubilee is out June 4 via Dead Oceans. Zauner has also shared the self-directed music video for lead single “Be Sweet.” The visual features Zauner and Mannequin Pussy’s Missy as X-Files agents investigating the paranormal. Watch below.

“After spending the last five years writing about grief, I wanted our follow up to be about joy,” Zauner said in a statement. “For me, a third record should feel bombastic and so I wanted to pull out all the stops for this one. I wrote ‘Be Sweet’ with Jack Tatum from Wild Nothing a few years ago. I’ve been holding onto it for so long and am so excited to finally put it out there.”

the thing with this is its just a real basic groove but the Woozy Synths and roland JC120 combined with michelle z being just a rad frontwoman put it over the top to being actually good empirically speaking i mean

Bumper was a great little EP but I got hung up on them releasing it as 2x7” mostly because that length feels like the perfect opportunity to release a 10” cause how many chances do you get to put out a 10”
