i think the main bonfire in the cathedral has what... 4? 5? shortcuts all leading to it.
cool area but i might like irithyll of the boreal valley a bit more
every area in DS3 is pretty amazing

There are people who swear those are good but I read one issue and it was terrible. I love Bloodborne and generally like Ales Kot so you'd think I'd be the exact target audience but nope.

it's definitely not their fault...the idea that you would try to make a normal comic out of it is so so so so so bad that nobody could succeed. oh god it's bad though.

There’s already a comic that more or less handles the bloodborne tone well and it’s from hell. Otherwise yes it think it’s impossible to make a bloodborne or dark souls comic. Sekiro could definitely work tho
*Offer temporarily suspended in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you for understanding

Lol is that Djura
He's like one of the NPCs in these games that spells out his motivations more clearly than anyone and expanding on him of anyone is incredibly lame
"They used to be humans leave them alone or I kill you" was enough
Giving more story to Eileen would be awful too
Actually for any character in any Fromsoft game

I think the only problem is that you can literally run through that area not attacking anything your first visit and you still get the "you are a skilled hunter and for that you must die" speech and then the gatling gun
Hitting that area the first time though is one of the best and most tense moments in all soulsborne tho

Eileen the Crow
Plain Doll
Djura, Retired Hunter
Gehrman, The First Hunter
Arianna, Woman of the Night (she's barely a character but I mean she's a sex worker who offers you her blood to power you up)

One of the best lore expansions in any of these game's DLC is that the doll is a recreation of Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower and so presumably Gehrman created the doll so he could fuck it himself
It's kind of him to share and surprisingly progressive for the Victorian era of him to offer up the doll regardless of your characters gender

Kind of ruins the way you can kill her and "use" her "if it please you'" because the plain doll is clearly sentient at that point
Probably before that iirc the teardrop or we when you bring her the uh...comb I think? Like yeah she is definitely a sentient being and while Gehrman is cursed to his prison so is the doll
And I just thought this now but of the three endings the only person not released from the dream is her : (

I like the subtle implication that Henryk is the little girl's "granddad". I assume he is Gascoigne's father in law, and that seeing his daughter's corpse in Oedon Tomb is what finally drives him mad

Djura is my favorite though, not only because he is a really interesting character but also I love the look of his attire and the Stake Driver. Plus his outfit has some of the highest frenzy resist in the game so it is actually very useful

Re: dramatized fictional versions of these things Berserk (97 anime and ongoing? manga) is pretty much the blueprint for the Souls games approach to a dark fantasy setting.

Demons Souls, since i count False King as the final boss
I waver on if I can handwave Moon Presence as the "true" final boss of BB like that because otherwise the boss immediately preceding it would probably be my favorite. The only difference is it's a real fight and the fight with the actual final boss of Demons Souls is so obviously a story formality and you would literally have to just stand and take damage for a few minutes to ever lose
i mean also technically Mergo's Wet Nurse can be the "final boss" of Bloodborne so it all depends on your choices
i think honestly as much as I love the game the boss before the Moon Presence is so perfect I almost wish it was included sometimes
