Definitely future because you can sneak a glance around the room and see all the cool new shit they have in their hover pods or exo-huts or whatever

Ancestors! I'd finally be able to break through all my genealogy brick walls.

When do I go, Catullus?
Now here is the lake. And I still haven't changed.

any kid wanting to go to the past is really surprising to me. I'm 40 and still not mature enough to give much of a shit about my ancestors. Finding out cool stuff from the past is also a lot easier than finding out stuff about the future. "I simply can not understand humans"

It may make sense to know that all of these kids are black and so there is a bit of a ‘we don’t know where we are from’ aspect at play.

Today: If you had to have the same meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I said my mom's coq au vin, and they had a ton of answers though chicken alfredo was a really common answer and respect cuz I also love alfredo but don't have it as often bc I would die lol

Back in the swing of things! Today's hit hard though mostly agreed:

Would you rather be stood up for your high school prom OR go with the date of your dreams but they leave with someone else?

Ugh I don't know if my high school even had a prom. At least if I was stood up I could go see a movie instead or something instead of suffering through the whole thing with someone who doesn't like me. Or are we going as friends and then meeting the person from another school who they're dating afterwards, in that case it could be fun.

I went with a guy I ended up dating briefly my Junior year. Senior year I went with a friend and he definitely ditched me for another girl and went to a different after party with her. Which was fine, I didn't like him like that we just werent allowed to go stag (stupid rule). I had fun at both and missed him 0%

Today's:

Would you rather be homeless but be able to go anywhere you want OR live in a mansion but never be able to leave

We determined 'homeless' means no fixed address so you could couch surf and the mansion can be anywhere and you can go outside and stay on the grounds just not leave the property

Okay I like yesterday's and it was like a 60/40 split so more variety than some of the others:

Would you rather have regular contact with aliens but no way to prove it OR an invisible best friend?

I went aliens

Invisible friend, assuming they're local enough to hang out regularly and not a long distance thing. We could get up to some fun hijinks.

Do the aliens give me any cool information or would that make it so I could prove it? Bc I bet without hard evidence (ie materials) I could still get a job with Tom delonge

Also since aliens are probably just time-traveling humans it’d give me some ability to know what happens in the future

what if the aliens are dicks? invisible best friend has "best friend" right there in the name, feels safe. also could help me pull off heists

totally

the first time I saw the cartoon mulan, the thing I liked most about the movie was that mulan had a cool funny supportive dragon friend which made me realize that the thing missing from my life is a cool funny supportive invisible dragon friend :(

i hope my spiritual successor was in class that day, pointing out how much stuff like this makes him not wanna go/glad he's not going. Questioning the assumption of going in general.

Okay, today's has so far been a pretty good 50/50 split:

If you had to learn one, would you rather learn how to swallow swords or eat fire?

I'm going fire eating
